KANE

Kane was three years old when we got him from a breeder December 2005. He has had his joints, skin and eyes certified as well as DNA certification. He has turned into a wonderful family dog and companion. He is so pleased with his freedom that he is more than eager to please. Kane is a hard dog to photograph because he does not like that camera pointed at him. He is a light brown color but shows gray in pictures. I think it has something to do with decreasing the pixels for the web sight. When people see him in person they comment on how they love his color. However, when they see him on the web they ask why he is so gray. After grooming he is lighter were he has been clipped, until it grows out. When I got him, he was a grown out mess. It took me four days to groom him which entailed two baths. I did it in stages so I wouldn't get both him and myself too frustrated. He was nervouse enough in his new surroundings. He shows no signs of nervouseness now and has a wonderful calm disposition. He learned quickly to do things he never knew before such as: fetching, sitting, staying home and most of all not to mark his territory in the house. We couldn't be more pleased with him if we got him as a pup.

Kane went kayaking to day (July 24, 2006) for his first time. I think he did real well. He seemed to settle right in and take in the view. A few more flat water trips and he will be ready for a gentle river ride. Jazz is on the kayak in front of us with Scott. She's a real pro now.

Kane has been with us for just over three years now and I couldn't imagine life without him. He has settled in great and has become a wonderful companion both for me, my husband and JAZZ!
